Finding Ourselves!
I’m curious. And, being curious has worked out well for me. The world is often confusing and chaotic. Refusing to accept things at face value has the potential to empower us. Surface arguments, many times, doesn’t provide enough details to make an informed decision. Information is only part of what is needed to advance forward. Applying what we know is critical to limiting the government’s ability to govern without violating the citizenry.
I know of no government in the modern world that isn’t deserving of complaint. But, complaining is only an indication that something better exists. There are many ways of protesting, some more advantageous than others, but one of the most effective is accountability. Demanding office holders obey the legal documents they swore to uphold is mandatory for a free society to flourish.
It would appear many politicians today haven’t even read our founding documents. Even if they have it would be unusual for them to pass legislation based on those documents. Money has corrupted our system and until we get the money out of our political processes we will continue to print money out of thin air and our debt will continue to skyrocket.

Political Clout has become so self-serving that violating the people is so prevalent that many feel the government is too big to correct and too big to fail. The great awakening on the horizon has the currents of change on its wings. As we move away from charismatic personalities and seek for a restoration of constitutional adherence we will step toward the renewal of our disintegrating foundations.
In times of uncertainty, I believe we have to be sure about certain things. Many of our social experiments have proven to be costly. And social engineering will always have catastrophic results. Our politicians must be made to serve within the confines of established authority and forfeit all assumed power. It can be done! It must be done! For when we lose our ability to think for ourselves, decide for ourselves, and be responsible for ourselves WE HAVE LOST OURSELVES.
The kind of truth that sustains generation after generation doesn’t dissipate into the atmosphere. When corruption runs rampant, and our awareness is dulled by darkness and deception we are at risk of losing our freedoms. A good way for us to find ourselves is in going back to the basics. We had and have a good game plan, we’ve simply been playing a terrible game.

Ugh. Can never comment on your blogs because we are still connected on wordpress somehow. So, here’s my thoughts.
How do I feel about the world? Responsible.
I used to think (and take pride in the fact) that America was a Christian nation. I am now entertaining the idea that this concept or belief is the antithesis of what our founding fathers tried to create, which was: a safe place to practice ones beliefs–whatever they may be.
What if trying to make Americans adhere to “christian rules” is us re-enacting what the pilgrims were trying to escape? What if it is this thinking that has made “Christianity” the only religion losing its privileges and rights in our country? What if we missed the very point and intention of the New Testament? Where might we be today had we, instead, focused on loving others by allowing them the same rights we demand for ourselves?
Would I want to live in a country where I was forced to abide by a “religion-based” set of rules and regulations…a religion I didn’t adhere to or believe in? Or would I prefer to live in a country where the Golden Rule was the law of the land?
We are living in a world and time where meanness and hatred flow from our lips and our fingertips. We think nothing of murdering with our mouths. And, I can’t help but wonder how much I contributed to this current state with my supposedly christian-based way of thinking and believing…adopting a twisted version of the Law of Love, one that encouraged and even “anointed” me to control how another human being thinks, feels, believes, and acts…to actually limit their rights and freedoms.
I can only imagine the way the apostle Paul felt after his “conversion.” I, too, am horrified at the way I’ve treated fellow human beings in the name of God. And, I feel like the world needs LOVE…a love that is practiced. Starting with me. On Sat, Nov 25, 2017 at 12:38 PM Rick Amitin’s Blog wrote:
